Una's Sanders Elected Representative To Professional Organization

FLORENCE, AL - Dr. Pat Sanders, a Professor in the Department of Communications at the University of North Alabama, has been elected as the District 2 board representative for the Broadcast Education Association. Sanders has been in the role since becoming a member of the board earlier this year; she has been serving an unfulfilled term by a District 2 predecessor.

"I am humbled by the uncontested election to this important board," Sanders said. "I will travel to Washington, D.C., in mid-November for an Executive Board meeting. I am looking forward to serving while representing my department, college, University, and region."

Sanders will maintain this role for the next two years; District 2 includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

The Broadcast Education Association is the premier international academic media organization, driving insights, excellence in media production, and career advancement for educators, students, and professionals. The association's publications, annual conventions, web-based programs, and regional district activities provide opportunities for juried production competition and presentation of current scholarly research related to aspects of the electronic media. These areas include media audiences, economics, law and policy, regulation, new, management, aesthetics, social effect, history, and criticism, among others.
