"Russellville Hospital is excited about our partnership with the University of North Alabama," said Christine Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of Russellville Hospital. "The University's support of healthcare providers in Northwest Alabama is to be commended. We greatly appreciate UNA making these scholarships available to our employees and their dependents." The Memorandum of Understanding was signed as part of an on-campus event Wednesday, attended by officials from Russellville Hospital as well as Alabama State Representative and UNA alum Jamie Kiel. The partnership is effective immediately, and employees may work through their Human Resources Department in order to take advantage of this benefit. "Educating healthcare providers is part of the mission of UNA, and we're pleased to have this partnership with Russellville Hospital," said Dr. Ross Alexander, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. "Both entities - UNA and Russellville Hospital - are committed to supporting rural healthcare now and in the future."
